I expect we’ve all had the experience of opening up our bag in a hotel and discovering everything inside is more than a little creased.
So I was interested to see that Heathrow Express has joined forces with clothing retailer TM Lewin to produce a range of videos explaining how to pack clothing before travelling.
Richard Robinson, Heathrow Express managing director, said: ‘Express TV and our website both focus heavily on news and providing useful information for our customers.
‘The main travel season of the year has started with Easter, there are several bank holidays over the next few months and the summer holidays are also on the horizon. We want to give our customers some clear and concise advice that is highly visual and relevant to our business and leisure passengers.’
The videos are made up of five short demonstrations of how to fold and pack items of clothing. Robinson added: ‘We’re shown how to fold items to avoid creasing and how to efficiently use the space in the suitcase or bag. The demonstrations show how to pack popular items, including shirts, skirts, jackets, trousers and ties.’
The videos can be found at http://www.heathrowexpress.com/HowToPack as well as on Express TV onboard the train.

great idea – but couldn’t they trust a man to fold his own clothes for the video
but then again, it was my mother who told me to always pack using wrapping tissue
